00:00Call the meeting.

00:07In modifications to the agenda.

00:19So no public comment.

00:23We'll tell minutes.

00:26I move we approve the minutes of the October 14 meeting.

00:30Second.

00:32Motion and a second.

00:35Any discussion?

00:39All in favor?

00:40Aye.

00:44To the business manager.

00:47Okay.

00:58There will be one action item to kind of clean up my trustee's report.

01:02You can't do it after.

01:03You can't submit it without the board approval after the date or after.

01:06So I want to make sure.

01:07It's just basically so our numbers will start perfect for the next year.

01:11There's still some talk of a brand new formula and there's still a lot to be

01:16assurance, but I haven't seen anything on either of those.

01:19So one thing I was going to put together that spending on the athletics.

01:24I didn't finish it yet because we have a few more bills that came in today.

01:28But I'll get that to you and I'll email you to see where after our fall sports

01:34are.

01:35So all of our spending will have to come out of the general fund now because our

01:40athletics is really low.

01:41But we still it's this year.

01:44So our election is May 6 of this year and Tim is doing when it's up.

01:50Notice the intent will be available at the December meeting.

01:54So I'll be ready for that.

01:56And I also.

02:01Building reserve comes up this year.

02:03So we'll have to decide if we're going to want to do that for the next five years

02:06again.

02:07I kind of the list of whatever we've gotten in and what has been spending is on

02:11the other two sections.

02:12So if you have any questions or no.

02:14Just let me know.

02:15I don't want to go into detail.

02:17I just kind of like you know that we did get all of our new gas work and all of

02:21our small boxes were there.

02:22We haven't spent a lot, but it's been on some weird projects that it crosses more

02:26than what they were going to.

02:27So and then like legislation is going to start very quick and I haven't heard

02:33really anything.

02:34Unless we can get insurance.

02:36Well, they don't do the insurance.

02:38I mean, they can't wait forever to do it or be too late until the following

02:42year.

02:43Anyway, they can.

02:44Yeah.

02:45And doing really have talked with Larry Parker.

02:48Crowder.

02:49Like the MREA.

02:50If we can't get it figured out.

02:52I asked Larry again.

02:53Part of that association.

02:54You know, you ask why they're always paid out to use.

02:57I think he would be open to creating our own insurance bull for class C who are

03:00members.

03:01To be able to look at it to see.

03:03Lives.

03:04And I'm going to say quote.

03:05More lives.

03:06So.

03:07Thank you.

03:08Larry is kind of a thinker and he wants to get stuff done for him.

03:26That whole of shirts.

03:27It seems like a real scheme to me that is ultimately not going to be good for

03:33schools like ours.

03:35Yeah.

03:36The scariest thing is you got to lock in for five years.

03:39And you're going to log in and it's going to be great for the first year.

03:44And after that, we're going to end up in the homes.

03:48Yeah.

03:49Yeah.

03:50I mean, I think you're right, Logan.

03:52That's the worry with all of it for sure.

04:01And I'm sitting in on the budget.

04:05Actually, I was sat in on that.

04:09They had lots of good things to say about the way we're doing things at school.

04:17You like the people.

04:26All right.

04:28So my students, staff, spotlight for this year, I talked a little bit about those

04:33steps in the healthcare program right before they did it.

04:35I got to see it in action.

04:37Those two days that our kids did it.

04:41The morning, you know, a little dry for the kids because it was like the hip

04:47stuff, the bookkeeping side of the hospital.

04:49But then the afternoon after they watched, they got to go and do like radiology,

04:54PT's here.

04:56And then they also did like emergency lab.

04:58The kids really enjoyed the hands on more, which normal for kids.

05:04I was thoroughly impressed with how the hospital, I mean, put all this on the time

05:09and effort that it could present to do it.

05:12I thought it was great.

05:13The kids did surveys that went back to the hospital.

05:18I actually read the surveys to make sure their own kid was silly on them.

05:22I mean, they have good input.

05:24They were honest.

05:25So hopefully we'll do this, you know, in the future as well.

05:29A parent forum last year, I did this as well.

05:32Part of the accreditation, you know, getting parents, community members,

05:36the ability to have some voice, you know, whether it changes anything or not,

05:41they at least have their ability to come and visit.

05:44I had originally not looked into the 25th of November.

05:47We moved it to December 2nd.

05:49We're going to do that at 5 p.m. some Monday for anyone who in the community

05:53who wants to come live in last year, maybe seven or eight that came.

05:56It was a good discussion.

05:58So hopefully.

06:00We're doing the library.

06:05So hopefully that will be well attended.

06:07We'll see with our new alert system.

06:11I'm going to send that out because that was one thing that people said they didn't know about it,

06:14even though I have the flyers and the things up.

06:16I'm going to send it out to all the parents as well.

06:18So I can't say what they didn't know.

06:20That'll probably be next week.

06:21I said that.

06:22The student council could drive.

06:24There's my little brag.

06:25I thought it was on our Facebook.

06:29Our student council came up with the idea that they wanted to challenge money.

06:33So they decided to do this.

06:35Robin said we're very, very confident that they were going to be us.

06:40But the added incentive we put on that because we realized that lots of kids want me to get high.

06:46So we said, well, here, if everyone gets 500 or more, the superintendents will also get high.

06:55And that's all we're supposed to be high school and then switch to K-12 afterwards.

06:59That was a funny thing.

07:00Yes.

07:01So we had like 1600 food bank items.

07:04They were very appreciative.

07:05We delivered all that.

07:06I had someone donate 12 turkeys.

07:08Oh, wow.

07:09Really cool to see.

07:12And it was good for our kids just like, I mean, the food bank was pretty good to see when we got there.

07:17And for them to work that in.

07:18The pining will be next Tuesday at 1 p.m.

07:20If you're interested.

07:21Live on Facebook.

07:22Live on Facebook.

07:23And FHX.

07:24We're going to do that.

07:25We're going to be streaming at the same time.

07:28And so Nathan, Rob will come over here.

07:31I will get to pie two people.

07:32Rob will pie one.

07:33I will get no pie.

07:34Thanks.

07:35So that's good.

07:36Evaluations.

07:37Probably one of my least favorite parts of my job, as I've said, every year, but I've started those non-tenure and have to do two evaluations here.

07:50So I've started those.

07:51And I'll do a few of our tenured teachers here before Christmas as well, just so it's not so much in the spring.

07:57Mass testing, which is our new state testing.

08:00So when I wrote this, Mrs. Rask was like working very diligently to get everyone done.

08:06She got all kids done today.

08:09We had some absences last week.

08:11All of our three through eight students were tested in math and reading.

08:16They closed on the 22nd.

08:18So that's nice.

08:19And she was worried that there were going to be glitches or absences.

08:22So it all worked out really well.

08:24We did finally get access to the reports, not all of them.

08:27So it's supposedly you test one week and then they push the reports out for the next week.

08:32So we've seen reports for four or five, six reading because they were their first tests.

08:38So once we get to dig into those reports a little more, see what they look like.

08:43I'll bring that information back to you.

08:46I'm still hopeful that it will be a positive thing.

08:49Mrs. Rask last week probably did not agree with me.

08:52It's a lot of work, but she did a great job.

08:56And we're working on learning.

08:58The teachers already had to give the tests, have to look at all the reports and so forth.

09:03Probably using PD on how to read those and what you do with them.

09:08And then upcoming December, it's to be busy as we all know.

09:12Elementary Christmas concert is at 6.30 on December 10th.

09:16And the 17th is in junior high.

09:18High school Christmas concert at seven.

09:20And then we have Christmas break.

09:22Okay, I'm also going to talk about the athletic budget as we were discussing this before I left on my trip.

09:44We figure we spent $11,000 or more in revenue fees.

09:49So far that's been a unique problem.

09:52The other thing I think we have to realize is that winning is expensive.

09:57And this isn't being a cocky or anything, but I expect this to be very successful the next four to five years.

10:04Just by watching our junior high programs and we have good coaches and high school programs.

10:11With that, I can, you know, you'll never put the cart up for the horse, but I would expect we're going to be right there.

10:20We're going to stay basketball, sending band, rooms, all that kind of stuff, which is a separate budget item.

10:27But athletics is going quick.

10:31So what we were down to, what, five grand before I left?

10:35Seven.

10:36Seven and I'm going to kind of piggyback this with two, which I have a wall of fame, which I just want you guys to know about and explain their thoughts.

10:45So we got $6,000 from Independence Bank for that credit card swipe, right?

10:57So we're kind of excited. Mr. Wolfe is generous enough to put a donation to basically consolidate something so we can actually see all our trophies and our hall of fame and class pictures.

11:12So the thought before really looking at the athletic budget was, hey, I think we can do that.

11:18So I got a quote from Neville. It's a 55 inch kiosk. So it stands, right?

11:23And then you take pictures and you can program everything. You can set it up that you can search 1978 and everything in 1978 is there.

11:33You can class pictures, everything is there, hall of fame, wall of fame, everything is there.

11:39And the idea of that would be to consolidate our trophy cases and millions of trophies underneath that people are there and have one central location.

11:50So you have access and then turn that glass into like a wall of champions like all these state championships are on there.

11:58Maybe pictures of our kids that are like all states or something would be the idea.

12:03And then that kid said he could have enough for almost every extra creature that we have in here to have their separate piece of glass, right?

12:13But that price takes $15,000. So Perry, Mr. Wolfe's donation, I was thinking that bank and our fingerprint access.

12:23I felt like that's a good facility upgrade for the community. We had enough money in there to swing it.

12:30My worry is now with the athletic budget is I'm taking just the earmark, Mr. Wolfe's.

12:38And we can move that and we can use that $6,000 with the bank and athletics to try to help us.

12:46Because the reality is they're going to Mall City again and now the $3,000 trip last year for that tournament.

12:53So that's expensive.

12:57Well, and with the all-class reunion coming there might be some avenues to really get some donations for some of this kind of stuff.

13:07Yeah, you know, the special, the key is that is starting to see that becoming something with that.

13:16That's something that the whole, all the all-class could buy into that and maybe only need $15,000 or maybe raise $40,000.

13:25Yeah.

13:26Yeah. I mean, that's cool. I don't know if you've ever seen one.

13:30Is that part of what Perry kind of, does he talk about that all the time?

13:36Yeah, that was kind of his point that he wanted something.

13:39Yeah.

13:40But it, I mean, the reality if we go that route, right, I don't know if it'd be ready.

13:45It's not, I'll just say it would not be ready for all-class reunion.

13:49And you got to take pictures of everything instead of the whole thing.

13:52I mean, it's a somewhat long project and you still might have to get it.

13:57Okay.

13:58At all points, really.

13:59But if you have a vision with storyboards of how it's going to happen, then everybody comes in and tours that.

14:09I'd like our class would love to donate to that.

14:12We have our class already $2,000 more.

14:15Yep.

14:16That's great idea.

14:18Accreditation process.

14:20So we're in part two, the accreditation.

14:23This is that new lovely order that we're going to put together.

14:32It opens up in December.

14:34Mrs. Beards on top of it.

14:36She's already started it.

14:38She's already got the outlines going.

14:40Just do the amazing stuff on that.

14:43So I have no problem that we go have that done on time.

14:49And so just remember what they'll do is they'll take our last part from last year to this score,

14:54and they're going to come by in those, and that's going to be your accreditation.

14:58And then it's good for three years, but you could get pulled next year to redo it all.

15:04So someone's going to get the short end of the stick and have to redo it right after we finished it.

15:12So that's going on with that.

15:15Access to ball games just to get it out there.

15:18Hopefully it was in the paper.

15:20I didn't talk to the paper on the back door.

15:23It's going to be open.

15:25People need to know and we'll put it in the paper again with that background, but not be accessible.

15:32We'll be blocked off in case there's a fire.

15:35Nothing's locked back there, but they'll just shut them down that hall.

15:39We'll figure out some barrier or something to give them to one needed gate.

15:46So, and then realignment, I have a disc because, like I said, I've kind of been gone,

15:52and this just came across actually tonight when I was going through some emails.

15:57Just so you guys know, here next week, MHSA is going to work on realignment for basketball and football.

16:06Basketball and volleyball.

16:09The idea is to get our state balanced.

16:14Our basketball division that drew me, it's lower considerably than the other parts of the state.

16:22When plenty would go as B, I think we'll be at 14 teams.

16:26I'm in favor of it just for the fact that I just feel at some point,

16:31we have 14 teams in the north and the west that 24 to 26 teams are going to say,

16:36why did you guys get to and we get to and we have 10 more teams.

16:42This would balance that up.

16:45I think it would also be really good because it would align our districts with tracks.

16:49Well, like right now when we go to meetings, we have a ball and we have a separate football meeting.

16:54We have a separate basketball meeting because we're all different divisions,

16:58we're all in the same part of the state.

17:01The kicker is, and I think what people need to realize,

17:06this would encompass like we vote and possibly brought us being in our division, not our district.

17:13So I could see if this goes through your rotation for the original basketball.

17:21It would probably be something like Costco, Sydney, Miles City.

17:25So that's just something forecasting and if it goes through that,

17:29we just need to be aware of budgeting purposes because that's an extra trip that we've never taken in Miles City.

17:36If we're winning, we can get back from Sydney.

17:40We're not going to drive back from Miles City.

17:44The division over the battle before all of you, except for me, was you hadn't even born yet.

17:51We had division in Miles City.

17:54We were class B.

17:56The division was almost always in Glenmont further here at the high school.

18:04I mean, it was always in Glenmont.

18:07Yeah, and that could be an area too instead of in Miles City.

18:10So it just would open that.

18:12It would just be a different district on that southern side.

18:16You could be black, you could be bold, proudest.

18:19I don't know if Mark too would be telling us that or not,

18:22but I'm not playing them during the season,

18:25but traditional tournaments can change.

18:28High, high, show them.

18:29Yeah, I always say that's mandatory.

18:31Yeah, so that's all I got.

18:33You got anything for me?

18:35Thank you, Greg.

18:40Moving on to the claims.

18:47I move to approve the claim.

18:59Second.

19:00Got a motion and a second.

19:02We have any discussion?

19:14All in favor.

19:15Hi.

19:16Hi.

19:21Activity accounts.

19:29I'll second.

19:38The motion and a second.

19:41We have any discussion?

19:45Where's the show where we're,

19:47this where it shows where the one money.

19:50Yep.

19:51So if you look on the great first summer page under athletics,

19:54there's a checking and savings that I know that John had just

19:57spent some money from the university tournaments.

20:00I think there was a little bit of tournament reimbursement.

20:02Five bucks.

20:03That was one.

20:05Yeah.

20:06So we, in there, there's 5200 in the checking and 85 in the savings,

20:10but I think that it's different than that.

20:12I think it is lower than that because when she last,

20:14and I read it, it was last, so.

20:20Yeah.

20:22That's worth that time.

20:25All in favor.

20:26Hi.

20:27Hi.

20:30On to the action items.

20:33I'll just give a quick summary for action item eight.

20:38Buildings and ground vet and discussed options for the facility use hours

20:42after the last board meeting.

20:44Currently, the public has access to the facility as follows.

20:49Starting this school year, 5am to 8am and 4pm to 9pm Monday through Thursday.

20:5711am to 1pm Monday through Thursday,

21:01access to the walking track must sign in at the office.

21:055am to 9pm Friday through Sunday,

21:08and the school schedule for Friday.

21:12That's what they are currently.

21:15They're in motion to do anything different.

21:22Yes, I have moved to accept option two.

21:28Presented by the bills and grounds committee that will open from 4am to 7.30am

21:34and 4.30pm to 9.30pm with no public access during the school day.

21:42Second.

21:43We have a motion and a second.

21:46Is there any discussion on that?

21:49Yes, I'm in favor of either the second or the third myself frankly.

21:57It wasn't as we mentioned that the buildings and grounds we've been meeting.

22:02I don't necessarily like the idea of shutting the school down

22:06for public use throughout the school day

22:10for a variety of reasons, but frankly,

22:13what ended up selling me on the idea that we can no longer have a community access

22:18during the school day is what was articulated that being the gym classes

22:26that are offered are more numerous than they were in the past

22:30and we no longer have an unused gym throughout the school day.

22:34It sounds like we only have one prep period for a gym teacher.

22:39Otherwise, the big gym is being used all day as it's the little gym.

22:44So what really resonated with me is the idea that it's not at all fair

22:49to have a gym teacher that's subject to drop-in community observation

22:55with no other teacher subject to that.

22:58It's already difficult enough to get teachers,

23:00and that seems like an area that is right for issues.

23:08So for that reason, I don't want to speak for delay,

23:12but that was really what drove me to the idea that we needed to restrict

23:19community access during the school day.

23:21As it goes to the after-school stuff,

23:26both of these get limiting student access past 9 o'clock.

23:34I don't think it is or 9.30, which I think is just a necessity.

23:39I don't necessarily have a strong opinion on adult access after 9

23:43nor do I know how much access there is by community members after 9.

23:48But the larger issue being that access during the day

23:53and what I'm reluctant to arrive at that conclusion,

23:58I think it's the only logical conclusion to arrive at

24:03as the board is looking out for our teacher's interests as the bottom line.

24:11Speaking to that, I kind of agree with exactly what Logan said.

24:17I had a parent who was also a former teacher and talked to me,

24:23and he said if he was the PE teacher,

24:27and he felt that was definitely unfair, and he said,

24:31you know, and I talked to other people and said,

24:35if the union was to agree back, it would be out more hands than we would lose

24:41because you can't expect Mr. Knight to be having adults constantly.

24:47And I'll guarantee that they say, people say they don't, but they do.

24:52They look over, they catch a breath, they look over,

24:55all the kids are down there playing, it's fun to watch, it's just not right.

24:59And I'm a former teacher, I feel the same way.

25:03Any more discussion on that?

25:10No.

25:13So we have a motion, option two and the second.

25:20I'll ask one more time for discussion.

25:24If there is any.

25:28All in favor?

25:29Aye.

25:31Aye.

25:32Aye.

25:33Motion passes.

25:40Motion passes.

25:50Action item.

25:55Calling monitors.

25:57Yes.

25:58So this information actually I'm provided in this missile,

26:00so that's exactly how I have to send it.

26:06But the auditor's gave you to help me work through the numbers

26:09and we balance out our assets.

26:11It's basically all the assets that we actually own

26:13and we have to keep the depreciation schedule on.

26:16Buildings are 30 years, lands are 30 years.

26:19But it's 10 to 20 years depending on what it is.

26:22So my ending balances, the year before last,

26:25Caroline had to make some changes and they didn't quite mesh up to this year.

26:29So this year, everything she balanced is zero because that makes great cheaper.

26:33So basically you guys just need to approve that I can make this change.

26:36It affects nothing except for our fixed assets.

26:39There's no other figure that it affects.

26:41They're just long term assets.

26:43So I'm going to approve the changes to FY24 across these financial reports

26:51fixed assets every now and then.

26:55Second.

26:56We have a motion and a second concerning discussion.

27:02David.

27:03Hi.

27:04Hi.

27:05Hi.

27:06Okay.

27:07Now on to action item C.

27:11At the court has a grant that needs to be signed out by the board.

27:15Should we be up or meeting to answer any questions?

27:18Oh, yes, you should.

27:20Maybe.

27:21Do you guys want paper copies?

27:23Sure.

27:24Okay.

27:25I'll print it out in the office.

27:27Okay.

27:43Okay.

27:44Well, thank you for any.

27:46It's.

27:47I can hear you.

27:49Okay.

27:50Okay.

27:51So a few months ago.

27:54I was like, Hey, there's this grant coming out that OPI does every

28:01year.

28:02Super competitive.

28:03Double A all the way down to C.

28:06And it's essentially this flush fund of money that OPI has.

28:10And the schools just have to come up with something called a strategic

28:15plan or plan on how we would use that money if we were to get it.

28:21So I went to Mr. Harvey and I was like, Hey,

28:23if I do all of the work for this, do you think it would be okay if I

28:28get this money?

28:29He said, yeah, you do the work for it.

28:31I don't see the problem.

28:32So I went to work.

28:34There was a few things I had to do beforehand.

28:36I had to get an advisory committee set up for my program specifically.

28:41So I can see what the community is looking for for students who are

28:45coming out of CTV pathways specifically.

28:48And so after that meeting, I got a pretty good idea of where my

28:52program with business CTV program should be going and how it benefits

28:57not only the kids, but the community at the same time.

29:01And then I got some brainstorming on what kind of things we could be

29:05doing with this money if we receive it.

29:08There is no exact budget if we get it.

29:11And I get it in on time right at 8am on December 8th.

29:16We'll get right around $30,000.

29:18I think was the estimate.

29:20It goes off of last year's or this past year's fascinical numbers for

29:26our enrollment.

29:27So it was like around 80,000 and then we get like 15% of that or something

29:31like that.

29:32So right around 30,000 is what we would be getting.

29:35So I was like, well, what can we do to kind of benefit the kids and the

29:41community at the same time?

29:43So I made this really nice cover page, which kind of gives you a

29:48really brief overview of what that strategic plan is.

29:51I'm not going to read it.

29:53And then that second page really goes into detail and that's where you

29:58can see it's like the plans in action.

30:01This is a two-year strategic plan.

30:03So hopefully by the end of the two years, we can kind of readdress this

30:08and see, hey, what actually worked if we could receive this funding and

30:12what didn't work and what do we want to see to continue to happen through

30:17this funding.

30:19I really focused my thought process on this was aligning with the CTE

30:25pathways and specifically add an industrial tech just because that's

30:30what our major driver is here in Daniels County, but also in

30:35Indiana, too.

30:37So aligning CTE courses with the labor market needs and going in and

30:43looking at work-based learning opportunities, seeing like what else

30:47we could be offering with them.

30:49Can we be offering apprenticeships, internships during the school day

30:53for those kids who don't do well on the books, you know?

30:57They're in their junior and senior year and they are tired of having to

31:01take fan and they know they're not going to become a musician with

31:04girls, but they know they're going to either don't work on the farm,

31:07they want to become a technician.

31:09What are the opportunities that we as a school can provide them?

31:13And then supporting educational opportunities.

31:18Again, going with that is how can we support them post-secondary if we

31:22have our kids that want to go to school for animal sciences and

31:25want to go to a training school?

31:27Can we give them some type of certifications?

31:30Can we help them with courses through Mile City to get their enrollment?

31:34Things like that.

31:36Making them realize what type of skills they're actually going to need

31:40when they graduate.

31:43And then kind of going more into the technology side of things.

31:47There's a really cool program that John Geer does where kids can

31:51actually, by the time they graduate high school, they will be two years

31:55away from getting their John Geer technician certifications, which is

31:59huge because by the time they get that certification, these kids can go out

32:03and make $80,000, $90,000 a year.

32:06And there's so much closer to that.

32:08That's all online.

32:10And all we have to do is make sure we have the technology to keep up with that.

32:15So it's all there.

32:17And then the outcomes would be we're meeting the demands of the workforce.

32:21Each of the students are getting a personalized education out of this

32:25who are enrolled in the CTD pathways.

32:28And then it enhances their employability because it's not only are the

32:32employers seeing that they took this step forward to see how they're

32:37going to benefit or what they're trying to do for their future,

32:40but they're also seeing these kids got to apply critical thinking too,

32:44which is a huge thing to do today.

32:47If we get this, I'm going to work with Mrs. Raphs really closely to decide

32:52how we use this funding.

32:54So only 25% of the funding I can use directly in my program.

32:58And the other 75% goes into that personalization for the students.

33:03So I know right now after talking to quite a few of my students,

33:07seniors all the way through my eighth graders,

33:10there's a lot of them who are interested in becoming technicians.

33:14They want to become mechanics.

33:16They don't really see another option for themselves in the future.

33:21So I think they're trying to take as many hands-on classes as they can.

33:26So I think Mrs. Raphs, now I can come up with something that works for them

33:31and works for the school and the community in the end.

33:35I think that's my field.

33:37Anything for me.

33:40So I know, of course, and probably some people do.

33:44So what class does I know in our school could our considered CT,

33:50maybe what CT is, what's outstanding for, and then what class is winning?

33:54Yeah, so CT is career and technical education.

33:58So any of my ad classes are CT.

34:02Any of Mrs. Stevens classes are technically CTB on the business side of things.

34:08I think maybe one or two of her health classes that she teaches

34:12can fall into the CTP pathway as well.

34:15And there's a whole big slurry of them.

34:17So when Mrs. Woodoff was here, she was also CTE, but that's kind of what that is.

34:22CTE, the whole point of CTE is a very, very expensive program to run in the beginning.

34:28But if you look past the expensiveness of running that program,

34:33it really gets kids a way to go out into direct career fields

34:39where they can make money, a lot of money, but they also are meeting the labor force demands,

34:45which in our country right now, and I have no room to talk because I'm 23,

34:50and I'm a teacher, but our labor force demands right now,

34:55we've got people who are no fun to engage, who are exiting the workforce,

35:00and there's nobody within my generation or even my students' generation

35:05coming up to fill those demands.

35:07So we're seeing a huge lack of things.

35:09So that's why it's so expensive to get construction work done,

35:12and it's not going to cost me anything really because nobody's going into these skill trades,

35:17and that's kind of what CTE is here for, is to kind of encourage students to go through that.

35:22So a lot of the advice I see on a daily basis,

35:24normally don't do well in your traditional classroom setting, and I never did either,

35:30but they sell everything we do in the classroom.

35:33We just finished an electrical unit,

35:35and I've got two boys in there that could wire a house with their eyes closed.

35:41I don't think they would, but they could.

35:44And so we'll see how engines go, but that's kind of what CTE is.

35:51Okay.

35:53If you guys approve this, all I need is a signature from, I think, a chairperson,

36:01and then I can send it to Oak Jedi on a percentage.

36:08Thank you.

36:10I think I move we approve the advancing opportunity strata application.

36:15Second.

36:17We'll send it in a second. Is there any discussion?

36:22I don't know about this.

36:26Thank you.

36:28The thing that fills up, the Q4, it fills up.

36:31It opens up at 8 a.m., and it fills up at like 8.05.

36:36Can you submit it early?

36:38Yeah, it's very, very competitive.

36:41So I sent it to the gal who was actually in charge of it at OPI

36:44before I even gave it to you guys, and I sent her a draft,

36:48and I was like, well, what do you want me to do?

36:50Like, is there anything you would recommend I do?

36:52And at first, the two pages, like the colored one was a separate strategic plan

36:59from that detailed one, and she was like, I would put them all together.

37:03And she was like, there's no reason you shouldn't get it.

37:06And I was like, okay, cool.

37:11Yeah, I'm reading what somebody says I can't hear me.

37:16Yeah, something like that.

37:19Emotion, second, all in favor?

37:22Aye.

37:24Aye.

37:26Moving on to the shot call.

37:30All right, let me jump in here.

37:33I recommend I just bring this up.

37:36Okay, we don't have our two shot clocks in the old gym used to be in the new gym.

37:41We moved them.

37:42They're dead.

37:43They do not work.

37:45I called Trevor.

37:46Trevor came in and took them apart.

37:49Couldn't get them fixed.

37:51They're just old with the time.

37:54This is the call for their cheapest co-shot clock that would go.

37:59Things are tight.

38:00They're tight or basketball coaches would love them.

38:02So I'm just putting it to you guys.

38:05Do we need them?

38:08Maybe not.

38:10It would be nice to have them.

38:12Yes.

38:14For that one or two C squad games that would play in there.

38:17And they would argue for their Wednesday practice.

38:20So they can run a shot clock.

38:22That's what your coaches would say.

38:24So I just did the legwork right to you.

38:28I think they're not necessarily hurt by the way.

38:30One or the other.

38:39I love to approve the call for the shot box.

38:42Small gym.

38:44That's presented.

38:49Second.

38:51You have a motion on the second.

38:53Is there any discussion?

38:55Can we get a game in there this year?

38:57I know.

38:59That would be awesome.

39:01Get the band up on the stage again.

39:06Do you guys specialize in games for limited tickets?

39:11Yep.

39:13That'd be cool.

39:15We'll make sure we put a buzzer in there.

39:21I feel like you've got to have him or else you don't have access to the gym.

39:25He's the gym without him.

39:27Not for a kid.

39:28I mean you can have a practice obviously.

39:30Junior high doesn't really do as much.

39:33I don't think so.

39:41I wish I could say we could put it off but maybe we can't.

39:47I was thinking we should put it off but like you said,

39:51I mean there's another one that someone gave money we can do.

39:56We can't do that.

39:58I don't know.

40:04I mean like you said, I'm trying to make it maybe.

40:09We can put it off.

40:11Can you talk to somebody who's happening?

40:14Is there anybody who's happening?

40:16Anyone?

40:18Can we staff the aluminum?

40:20I think I got them on board.

40:22Big star irrigation problem.

40:25That's not a big problem.

40:27So Jen texted me last week and said,

40:30we don't want these guys getting super close.

40:33We don't want them getting on board.

40:36You can take that project on.

40:38We have a motion.

40:39We have a second.

40:44Turn it over to him.

40:52All in favor?

40:56Opposed?

40:58No.

40:59Logan, are you in favor or against?

41:02I was in favor.

41:04Okay, I thought maybe I was delayed.

41:10The shot clock fails.

41:20Moving on to action item E1.

41:25Personal recommendation for substitute kitchen employees.

41:34Move Chris Rush on the substance list for 24-25.

41:37Clear.

41:40Second.

41:41A motion and a second.

41:43Any discussion?

41:46All in favor?

41:48Aye.

41:49Aye.

41:52Winter coaches.

41:55I move to approve the following high school boys assistant basketball

42:03and junior high school boys basketball.

42:0524-25.

42:06100 season.

42:09Second.

42:10We have a motion and a second.

42:13Any discussion?

42:19All in favor?

42:20Aye.

42:21Aye.

42:23I move to approve the following high school boys basketball.

42:28Second.

42:29A motion and a second.

42:30Any discussion?

42:35All in favor?

42:36Aye.

42:37Aye.

42:38Aye.

42:39Aye.

42:40Aye.

42:41Aye.

42:42Aye.

42:43Aye.

42:44Aye.

42:45Aye.

42:46Aye.

42:47Aye.

42:48Aye.

42:49Aye.

42:50Aye.

42:51Aye.

42:52Aye.

42:53Aye.

43:02All in favor?

43:03Aye.

43:04Aye.

43:05Aye.

43:06Aye.

43:07All in favor?

43:10All in favor?

43:13Aye.

43:15Aye.

43:16Alright.

43:18Right,

43:19I made a lot of reservations.

43:22But,

43:23Like our staff,

43:26We have staff meeting talked about the quality of the

43:28graduation when they leave here, should have,

43:29I also put a survey out to like the parents in the community.

43:30So, I'm just curious.

43:32You guys have anything to say?

43:33I can get to what I say.

43:34Yeah.

43:35Yeah.

43:36Just carry one full about while.

43:37Yeah.

43:38The internet.

43:39Was curious to know if you guys have any thoughts on this.

43:42I should send it to everybody.

43:43That's it you've got to be interested.

43:47Thank you.

43:48Yeah.

43:53I said,

43:54Yeah.

43:58And then we'll set this up.

43:59So it's a water.

44:00Morning meeting and then the box.

44:04So it can't be a Friday.

44:05And then school is out on last day schools.

44:08And you don't even do it.

44:10No,

44:12No.

44:13It was right here.

44:14We went on Friday because.

44:19We lessen the distraction to the teachers.

44:21If we go on the 19th.

44:22And the last day.

44:24They're all shut down.

44:25Sorry.

44:26I would just.

44:27No.

44:28I would just.

44:29You don't want to do that one.

44:31Yeah.

44:32Yeah.

44:37Just cause I think,

44:38I think you guys sometimes think your distraction.

44:41I think they might not say it to you,

44:44but I think they like to show what they're doing.
